With the Nebraska School for the Deaf (NSD) Museum name change, NSDAA is taking the lead in the preservation and promotion of deaf and hard of hearing history, culture and ASL in Nebraska.
OMAHA, NE – November 20, 2009 – Nebraska School for the Deaf Alumni Association (NSDAA) is pleased to announce museum’s new name: Nebraska Deaf Heritage Museum and Cultural Center (NDHMCC). The change in name from the NSD Museum to the NDHMCC is a signal that the Nebraska Deaf community is taking in the direction of inclusiveness. This is a tremendous opportunity for NSDAA as they form partnership with various groups in Nebraska to make this a reality.
